The Beginning...
Teddy Bear Preschool is a stimulating and caring environment for
children to grow emotionally and intellectually. We provide time and
room to explore, to experiment, to discover. Time to grow, time to
play, and time to be a child. Teddy Bear Preschool has been providing
a service to the Monterey Peninsula community for over 20 years.

- Philosophy

To appreciate each child for who they are by creating and
maintaining a safe, nurturing environment in which active learning can
take place. We promote growth and development through the
physical environment, and appropriate activities, interaction with
peers and the guidance of caring adults who are concerned with the
whole child.
- Curriculum
-
The Learning Centers are arranged for ease of movement and
convenience of use, but also for maximum challenge to the body and
mind. Various learning activities and interest centers are:
paint, clay, collage, musical instruments, blocks, books, dolls to
bathe, suitcases to pack, flour and salt to make play dough.
Always something new but always enough things remain the same to
provide the security and comfort of familiarity.
